The MSOM Conference will be preceded by

the SIG (Special Interest Group) Conferences

on June 27, 2010

 

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

We invite you to participate in the 2010 MSOM Annual Conference and the
Special Interest Group Conferences to be held on June 27-29, 2010 at the
Industrial <http://ie.technion.ac.il/>  Engineering and Management Faculty
of the Technion  <http://www1.technion.ac.il/_root/index.html> - Israel
Institute of Technology, Haifa, Israel. 

Both events are sponsored by the Manufacturing and Service Operations
Management Society (MSOM <http://msom.society.informs.org/> ) of the
Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS
<http://www.informs.org/> ). The Special Interest Group (SIG) Conferences
will take place on Sunday, June 27th. The MSOM Conference will take place on
Monday, June 28th and Tuesday, June 29th.

We have received a large number of submissions, more than we can handle;
most of these will be scheduled for frontal presentations. If you wish to
participate in what promises to be a great conference we ask that you
register now.

Registration <http://msom.technion.ac.il/register.php?num=10> : Registration
is now open! To register please use the attached form. Please fill it out
and FAX it to +972 4 829 4408. Alternatively you can email it to
msom2010 at gmail.com, but we feel that a FAX is more secure. You should use
the form to register for the SIG Conferences, the MSOM Conference and the
post conference event. The signup for the tours, both before, during and
after the conference, will be made directly with the tour company. See the

Program. 

Hotels <http://msom.technion.ac.il/accomodate.php?num=8> : Information on
the conference hotels now appears on the conference website. Several people
have asked for my recommendation on where to stay. It is my optinion that no
hotel is right for everyone. In my opinion you should stay at the

*	Dan Carmel, if you like a great hotel.
*	Dan Panorama, if you like a very good hotel that is very close to
some shops/cafes.
*	Dan Gardens, if you are on a budget.

Social Program <http://msom.technion.ac.il/social.php?num=6> : The social
program is near completion. Some additional details have been posted on the
Social/Spouses/Family <http://msom.technion.ac.il/social.php?num=6>  Program
website. The framework of the pre and post conference tours already appears
(enough information to make flight arrangements). Complete information will
be available within a fortnight.
