Associate or Full Professor of Systems Engineering
The Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), Graduate School of
Engineering and Management, Department of Systems and Engineering
Management is seeking tenure-track Associate or Full Professors in
Systems Engineering (starting in September 2009 until filled) with a
focus on rapid product development and infrastructure systems (to
include general systems theory, process and management, systems
analysis, and engineering economics).
A PhD in Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or closely related
field is required. The successful applicant will have broad
education/experience in the application of systems engineering
principles across a wide range of organizational, infrastructure, and
engineered systems in order to bring a broad integrating approach to all
department activities.
US citizenship is required. The department offers degrees and conducts
research in rapid product development, engineering management focusing
on infrastructure construction and maintenance, information resources
management, cost and financial analysis, environmental science and
engineering to include occupational health, and systems engineering.
AFIT is a selective, national caliber research and learning community

group of Air Force officers, international officers and civilian
students. Located on Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, in Dayton, Ohio,
AFIT is accredited by the North-Central Association of Schools and
Colleges with most of its programs ABET accredited at the graduate
level. The department focuses on the integration and optimization of
systems and organizations within the Air Force and Department of
Defense.
