Applications are invited for one tenure-track faculty position
(Assistant Professor) beginning January 1, 2010. An earned doctoral
degree in industrial engineering, or closely aligned field, background
and experience in occupational ergonomics with emphasis in biomechanics
is required. Desired qualifications include widely recognized
professional certifications (PE, CPE); ability to  assume a leadership
role in our NIOSH funded Center; a background in working with the public
health community; an understanding of occupational injury prevention;
and experience and interest in working with the automotive manufacturing
industry. The successful applicant will teach courses, pursue/conduct
sponsored research, and fully participate in the CDC/NIOSH funded Center
for Occupational Safety and Ergonomics, a joint Center between Auburn
University, the University of Alabama- Birmingham and the University of
Alabama - Tuscaloosa. Review of applications will begin April 1, 2009
and continue until a candidate is selected and recommended for
