Special Issue on: "Lean Six Sigma in Health Care"
 
International Journal of Six Sigma and Competitive Advantage is pleased
to announce a special issue on "Lean Six Sigma in Health Care," in which
we seek to publish research that leverages Lean Six Sigma in clinical
and business processes to confront the challenges for quality and cost
savings in the Healthcare System.  The last decade has witnessed that
Lean Six Sigma has been successfully implemented in healthcare
institutions across the nation, since the Commonwealth Health
Corporation launched Six Sigma initiative in March 1998.  At the time of
its ten-year anniversary, this special issue aims to attract research on
Lean and Six Sigma methodologies in healthcare and share experiences
amongst healthcare practitioners and researchers.
 
Subject Coverage: Topics in health care include, but are not limited to:

*	Lean and Six Sigma versus other quality initiatives 
*	Lean and Six Sigma application (case studies)
*	Integration of Lean and Six Sigma strategies 
*	Selection and use of the tools and techniques of Six Sigma
*	Project selection in Lean Six Sigma 
*	Critical success factors of Six Sigma and design for Six Sigma 
*	Performance measurement for Six Sigma and design for Six Sigma 
*	Strategic aspects of Lean and/or Six Sigma 
*	Role of leadership in Six Sigma 
*	Six Sigma in healthcare supply chain management 
*	Best practice of Lean Six Sigma
Submitted papers should not have been previously published nor be
currently under consideration for publication elsewhere.  All papers are
refereed through a double blind process. A guide for authors, sample
copies and other relevant information for submitting papers are
