Good Afternoon Dr. Shiou-Jyh Hwu, Thank you for your interest in supporting chemistry needs at Constellation Energy Group. We are planning to interview one Clemson University student already, in mid-October, for a radiochemistry position at Nine Mile Point. As a result of that, the other two nuclear sites within Constellation, Ginna Nuclear Plant and Calvert Cliffs, have also expressed an interest in having new graduates explore employment at their sites. I appreciate your invitation to give a lecture at the chemistry seminar in mid November on power plant chemistry. It would also afford me an opportunity to meet with perspective candidates for employment. We have considered a day during the week of November 13th. If you could provide more details as to exact day, I could make appropriate transportation arrangements. Should you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me, or my supervisor, Jack Kramer, whose e-mail address I provided above. Also, the other individuals, Mr. Sanders and Mr. Thomson, are the chemistry directors at Calvert Cliffs and Ginna respectively, and also could be contacted. Frederic J. DCIT is working as fast as they can.... please ask students to register for what they can see, you can help anyone you are willing to help by looking up on the mainframe the available sections they can't see and they can do a "quick add". That's what we are doing... but there are WAY too many calls for us to be able to handle them all. Please do not tell students to call our office....if they call you, help the ones you can help....our phones are ringing off the hook as it is. Thank you! Registration Coordinator - Clemson University E-206 Martin Hall, Box 345125 Clemson, SC 29634-5125 You can tell students who call, please pass this along to others in your department, that they can go to SIS on the web to see the Schedule of Classes under SIS on the Web. It will not tell them if there are empty seats, but it will tell them dates and times available. Then they can go to WEB REGISTRATION to do the QUICK ADD option to add the class and/or Lab. It is not efficient and it will be aggravating, but it will work. This is a "stop gap" measure, but hopefully it will help. Thanks so much. We will let you know when the system is "fixed". Thanks for your help in passing along this interim solution. :) Happy Wednesday! -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
