BioE Graduate Students,

 

CBS has planned some activities in the upcoming weeks. Please be aware of
the dates and time below so that we can represent our department well.

 

Friday January 29th:

12:00 pm to 1pm - CV Workshop (Professional Development Event)

Rob Massey from the Michelin Career Center will be doing a CV workshop for
BioE graduate students. If you just want your CV critiqued or need to build
one from scratch that will be effective, please join us in the Rhodes Annex
Rm 109 from 12 to 1pm. Lunch will not be provided so bring your brown bag
and munch.

 

3pm to 5pm - Hearts for Kids

Also, don't forget that this Friday is Hearts for Kids (making hand-made
Valentine's day cards in the CBS lounge from 3-5pm). All supplies will be in
the lounge all day so please stop in and make one.

 

Saturday February 6th:

Volunteering at the Helping Hands Thrift Store

Would you like to join us??  We're scheduling 2 time slots for the day:
9:30-11:30am & 11:30am - 1:30pm.  Please email Casper (cassanw at clemson.edu)

Friday April 9th-Saturday April 10th: 

Relay for life of Clemson University

CBS has signed up a team for Relay for Life this year, so we need to start
recruiting team members!  All Bioengineering graduate students,
undergraduate students, faculty and staff are welcome to join us in our
efforts to help the American Cancer Society.  In order to register, each
team member is asked to give a $5 donation (after Feb. 26th the donation
goes up to $10).  You also must set a personal fundraising goal for
yourself, however if you don't meet that, don't worry!  You won't have to
make up the difference.  However, if you raise $100 you get a free t-shirt.

 

Please let us know if you have any questions about joining our team,
fundraising, or the actual event!

1.  Go to www.clemsonrelay.org <http://www.clemsonrelay.org/> 
2.  Click "Join a Team"
3.  Search "Clemson Bioengineering Society" (It should have Laura Datko
listed as the team leader) and click on the team name
4.  Follow the steps to join!
