Everyone,
This is just a reminder that PEG (formally known as Travel Grants)
are due tomorrow. Some of you may want to apply for INBRE and MRS and other
conferences that you attended or plan to attend for the spring and summer
semesters. It is due Friday, Feb 22nd no later than 4.30 pm in the union
building front desk (6th floor).

Make sure you guys don't ask for food expenses in the application form. Also
make sure your reasoning is legitimate for how much you are asking.

Thanks

Sincerely
Dev and Betsy

Dear Graduate Students:

Do you need funding to help pay costs associated with attending
industry conferences, paper, or panel presentations? Please consider
applying for a Professional Enrichment Grant administered by Graduate
Student Government.

Professional Enrichment Grants (formerly known as travel awards) are
designed to aid graduate students with traveling costs associated with
attending conferences for presenting papers, workshops and other field
experiences. Priority funding is given to applicants who are
presenting scholarly research on behalf of Clemson University.

Graduate Student Government uses PEG's to recognize academic
achievement for individuals sharing their research and findings to
respective academic fields and associations at conferences, lectures,
as well as panel and poster presentations.

Students must be enrolled at Clemson University in a Masters or Ph.D.
program to apply for a PEG. The application process is quite
competitive but all graduate students are encouraged to apply.
Applications for PEG's are accepted twice a year. The SPRING and
SUMMER application period will include travel and conferences from
January 1, 2008 through June 30, 2008 ONLY.

The next application period will be February 18-22 that will cover
SPRING and SUMMER travel. A link will be sent out the graduate student
body via email on February 18th and an application form will be posted
on the GSG website. The application will have specific instructions
for the applicant. Applications will be due no later than February
22, 2008 at 4:30pm to the Union Desk (6th floor) in the University
Union. Electronic applications will not be accepted.

Decisions will be communicated to applicants no later than March 5, 2008.

If you have questions about the application process, please feel free
to contact me at connelb at clemson.edu.

For Clemson,
Connelly-Anne Bartle
Chief of Staff & Director of Grants, Graduate Student Government
