Here is a notice from a student group soliciting volunteers to help them
with a project in the local area:

----------

I know that GSG is trying to be more active in the community. I am
organizing a volunteer activity for this Saturday. If you think people
would be interested will you please help me disseminate information.
Natural Resources Graduate Student Association is participating in
International Coastal/River/Lake Clean-up this Saturday, September 15th.
It is sponsored by The Ocean Conservancy. I understand that it is the
day of a home football game, but we are still trying to rally
volunteers. We will meet at the DNR office off of Cherry Road at 8:00
am on Saturday morning and work until 12:00 (people can come and go as
they please). We will be recording the amount of debris that is
collected and returning the information to the Ocean Conservancy, they
use the info in their annual report on the marine and freshwater debris
and the health of our waterways. Thank you for your time.
