You’ve asked for it and the list keeper has heard your pleas. On this coming Tuesday the BG’s will be getting together in person for fellowship, food, and music. We will be attending the city of Clemson’s “On The Ave.” event. The event takes place outdoors on the streets of downtown Clemson from 5:30-9pm. Local businesses will have tables in the streets and along with other vendors selling a variety of food and beverages. There is also a band from Greenville, “The Jamie Wright Band” that will be providing the entertainment. This band will be playing R&B music so come out fellowship bring your family and friends and hang out with the BG’s as we takeover the area in front of the band. Remember how much fun we used to have when people saw more than 6 Black men dining together, well let’s give them something great to look at and talk about by having at least 20 of us show up and enjoy the celebration. Who knows maybe if enough of us show up they might consider allowing us to have Juneteenth in the streets of downtown Clemson next year instead of in the restrictive confides of campus.
