Good Morning Fellow BG's,

Today is the first Wednesday in the month of October, yes time is flying by, and today is our day to break bread, fellowship and do a wellness check-in. You may be tempted to say something about the timing of this notification and if so you should know in true BG fashion I have something ready to say back to any of you that have such a comment. Today we dine at Monterrey's Mexican establishment on highway 93 across the street from Ingles in Central ( after all we are in the middle of celebrating Latino Heritage Month and for many of you this may be the only celebratory event you engage in). Lunch will be at noon, today's topics include which term do you use and why Latino, Hispanic, Latinx, Chicano? Are you aware of the new racist code words made popular by twitter and the new digital racist (if not google it before lunch today so you can participate in the discussion)? The VP debate, another death of several unarmed Black men since our last lunch at what point do we need to do more than just bring awareness and/or protest these injustices? What else can and should we be doing? Are you planning on seeing Birth of a Nation, why or why not?  On a lighter note how about that football game last Saturday night? These and anything else you would like to discuss. As usual reply to me so we will know how many people to expect. Do yourself a favor, if you were thinking of replying to tell me that you cannot make it because you received the notice too late, DON't! By now you should have the first and third Wednesday of every month marked on your calendar and be anxiously awaiting the announcement of the location. And remember anytime you believe you could do a better job AKA more timely job of getting the announcement out, the job of listkeeper is purely voluntary and available to any and all takers, no questions asked, just speak up and it's yours. 🤔
