Dear BGs,

In respond to Item 3) How do you plan on celebrating the MLK Holiday?, here's an invitation:  Please consider joining and supporting Rho Delta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.,  at its annual MLK Memorial Celebration, Saturday January 16, Westside High School, Anderson, 10AM.  The featured speaker is Pastor Jerry Blassingame of Greenville, and the topic is Youth Empowerment.  As a former drug dealer who served time in prison, Pastor Blassingame offers unique insight into current issues related to the criminal justice system and he has since devoted his life to empowering youth and former prisoners.  This program presents an excellent opportunity for churches, youth groups, and community organizations to  engage local youth and parents.  Complimentary breakfast will be served.  See attached flyer for details.

Hello and Happy New Year Fellow BG’s,

It’s the first week of the new year and that means it is time for us to gather for our usual meal, conversation, and wellness checks. This week we will dine at Ruby Tuesday’s on Hwy 123 in Clemson. Lunch will begin at noon and we hope to see you all there. Great way to start your new year is with us, so come on out and enjoy a good meal and good friendships. Topics for the week include: 1) What’s the difference between the Oregon Militia taking over a federal facility and ISL taking over a federal building? 2) Did you get everything you wanted for Christmas? 3) How do you plan on celebrating the MLK Holiday? 4) Would you give your students or employees a break if they said they were going to miss your class or work so that they could attend the national championship game? 5) What are you going to do for others in 2016’ that you didn’t do or even refused to do for them in 2015’? These and any other topics you would like to discuss. Bonus topic: Why the BG’s will NEVER see Kung Fu Cantina on the list keeper’s email again! Reply to me so I will know how many seats to save. Bring a new BG with you to lunch apparently there are a few more of us around than we se at lunch.
