Happy February! Thats right it's the first week of February which means Wednesday is the first Wednesday of the month and time for us to get together and dine. This week we will be eating at Subway on Hwy 123 across the street from Western Sizzlin. Our topics include: how do you explain the need for Black History month to people who ask you? Have you seen the list of student demands as presented to the President of Clemson, if so what are your thoughts? Do you think the town should ask the hotel owners to remove Tillman's name from their hotel? If you could have lunch with any person from Black history who would it be and why? The Superbowl and the commercials, and anything else you want to discuss. As usual lunch begins at noon, reply so we will know how many seats to save. Anyone interested I will be speaking at Tri-County Tech on Wednesday afternoon at 1:20pm until 2:20pm in their Marshall Parker auditorium. The program is entitled "Much Respect: Contemporary Profiles in Black History", some of the BG's will be featured as part of the discussion. Hope to see some of you there.
