Good Morning!

Could you all forward this out please?

Thanks

Good Morning!

I've talked to several of you all over the last week and I think it is fair to say that the semester has officially gotten REAL! Don't let stuff pile up on you. Come get some help, presentation practice, or paper proofreading with Invictus Initiative tonight.

This week's meeting is TONIGHT, Tuesday, October 8, at 7:00 pm in Brackett 213.

A little bit about our program...

1. The Invictus Initiative is NOT JUST A STUDY HALL!

2. This academic achievement program is led by current minority male graduate students in a variety of fields including engineering, computer science, counselor education, student affairs, and biological sciences.

3. Each student will be able to create a personalized on-line profile to improve academic accountability and better connect with Invictus Initiative mentors.

4. Each meeting will begin with a brief presentation on some helpful information or resource for YOUR academic success.

5. Graduate student mentors will be at each Invictus Initiative meeting to help with homework, test preparation, paper writing/editing, and presentation preparation.

6. If we don't know how to help you, we have the resources to connect you to someone who can help you!

If you have any questions please contact me (Jordon Gilmore, jagilmo at clemson.edu<mailto:jagilmo at clemson.edu>), Jerome McClendon (jmcclen at clemson.edu<mailto:jmcclen at clemson.edu>), Hamilton Allen (hrallen at clemson.edu<mailto:hrallen at clemson.edu>), or Matthew Kirk (kirk6 at clemson.edu<mailto:kirk6 at clemson.edu>).

Thanks and see you there!

** If you have specific questions or subjects that you need help with, please let us know by sending an email before the meeting so that we can better prepare for you.

** While our focus is minority males, we encourage you to bring/invite ANYONE! If you study in a group, bring your group. If you know someone in your class that is struggling, invite them out to join us.
